The Great Pumpkin has arrived… as a brownie! 🎃🍫
This is one of those super easy “recipes” that you can make just for fun, with the kids, or even for a cozy girls’ night. You can use your favorite homemade brownie recipe, a boxed mix, or, like me, start with premade brownies and get decorating!
It’s such a cute, fun, easy, and delicious fall treat!
Ingredients
- 1 square tray of brownies
- Vanilla frosting
- Food coloring
- Ziploc bags or piping bags
Directions
- Prepare your frosting: Divide the vanilla frosting into small bowls. Make one a pale orange, one a bright orange, and one green. I went for a green that looked almost like a little pumpkin vine.
- Add the base: Using a spoon or spatula, spread the pale orange frosting evenly over the brownies.
- Prepare your piping bags: If you’re using Ziploc bags, fill each bag with your desired frosting and snip a small section off one bottom corner. You can also use piping bags if you have them.
- Create the vine: Using the green frosting, pipe around the edge of the brownies to create a vine-like border.
- Make your pumpkin: Take the bright orange frosting and pipe a large, round pumpkin shape in the center. Use a spoon or small spatula to gently smooth and shape it.
- Add the stem: Pipe a little green stem from the top of the pumpkin, connecting it to the vine border.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy your Great Pumpkin Charlie Brownie! 🎃🍫
